Tablets, Tablets, Tablets! (Advice wanted)

Waiting to see how Tegra 3 goes, as I want a tablet that handles high bitrate .mkv files with ease.

I am in agreement with NoSpin's comment regarding this question. Get what suits you and if you are willing to wait then by all means do it. You'll never be in a position where you'll end up with a device that has pushed technology to its limit and it can't be outdone (at least not yet).

The Galaxy line has been good so I don't think you'll be disappointed with the 10.1. With that said, I would suggest a Galaxy Tab. :)

What a fantastic resource this is...came across it quite by accident.
Thankyou

No one has mentioned the Toshiba Thrive. Comments?

Well I just picked up a Tab 10.1 yesterday after spending a pretty good amount of time comparing all of the major Android tablets and the Thrive was easily the worst of the bunch. The ports and replaceable battery were nice, but the screen was dull and seemed slightly pixilated, and it was fat and heavy (as in two of any of the other tablets stacked on top of one another). The Transformer was really nice while the Acer was kinda meh, but seeing the screen on the Galaxy Tab next to all of the other made it a clear winner; it is a fantastic display.

Hi, this is my first post but I have been reading android central for a while.

I have been considering buying an android tablet for some time now. I live in the UK and the galaxy tab 10.1 gets released very soon and I am extremely tempted.

The only thing that is stoping me buying it is the ever-present better device looming in the future. Should I wait to see what amazon's new tablet is like, what about new tablets based on the quad-core kal-el.

Opinons please!

I have the Galaxy Tab 10.1 pretty good Tablet! especially with the touchwiz update
