Tag Connected 2 - android wear on iphone issues

[AC Question]

I have set up the phone and watch and everything works except that I am not able to sync Google Fit data

I also have an old HTC Android and have successfully paired that and synced the google fit data - so I know its not the watch

I have reset my phone, reset my watch and there is nothing that can be done to make it sync. Every other function works fine and the watch gets all the notifications I have configured........

Anyone got any suggestions on how best to get around it because I dont want to carry two phones around with me!!
