Tag Heuer Connected Modular water problems

The watch says 50 meters, but I took it to a pool with my kids, put my hand in the pool for 2-3 minutes and when I came up the software was freaking out. The screen went zig-zag, blank, then another watch face came up, completely going crazy. So, I guess this watch is not waterproof. I called Customer Service and they said, it's water resistant. That's a little misleading, since they have a video on their website with a guy swimming with the watch on. I called my TAG HEUER boutique, they said no refunds. I bought the watch 4 weeks ago. Not happy.

Apple does extreme testing and their watch is waterproof.

That's the old watch. The new one is 50 meters waterproof. Says so right on the watch.

To the OP: the watch is waterproof but touch screens don't work under water. Waterproof in this case really just means water won't enter the case and damage the electronics.

Well, if that is indeed the watch the OP owns, then I would say he needs to begin by carefully reading his warranty card and then making a huge stink with the boutique, with Tag Heuer, and consider contacting his state's Department of Consumer Affairs to file a complaint.

OP - is your watch still on the fritz?

I was swimming with my Tag in sea and pool all summer. Without any problem.
