I am a Retail Sales Manager at a Verizon store and much like everyone has said, WE HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THIS PHONE IS COMING OUT!!!!! Nobody is saying anything about release dates for this phone and everything we know is the same that you guys know. We haven't received any promo materials, the training info that you've all heard about was actually just a promo video it wasn't the actual training that we typically do on phones. We did do some training on 4.0 but not the Galaxy Nexus. We haven't received any phones in store yet and haven't heard a single thing regarding shipment. Just like all of you I cant wait to get my hands on this phone but we're waiting for a release date just like everyone else. All this stuff about he said she said maybe what they heard but I guarantee you nobody knows for sure except maybe the person in charge of phone launches and if you dont know him then you probably dont know a thing!!

A lot of these people, especially in this thread, are on a rampage today for no apparent reason. I guess its hip to be mad at the world on Fridays.


I heard similar rumors, but I don't put stock in any date right now. None, at all. It will be here by 12/31, Im sure.

Yea I guess so. People also have no understanding of how running a business, especially a retail store works. Like Nemov. You think the retail store owners find out on the launch date or just a day or two before? You have no clue of retailing or ordering stock then. You probably choose to believe the 21st rumor then huh? So if it was launching Monday, the stock would be there today or tomorrow. There would be leaks just like there is with every other device right at launch when stock is in. The 1st is less than two weeks out. If it's launching the 1st, retailers (corp and authorized) would know by now.

And as far as online exclusive for two weeks? Like I said, when has that happened before? Even if it was going to be online exclusive for a week, or so, there is still a lot of prep work the stores need to do and they wouldn't find out at the last moment.

Corp store? Because I can tell you from my own experience with my brother in law, who owns authorized retail stores, they have to do the ordering of everything and they do have heads up from regional Verizon managers and other execs, ahead of product launches. I've seen emails and communication and stuff from hanging out with him and in his stores. Like I said, nothing concrete but he knows dates to EXPECT products to launch. Authorized retail stores are run different than corp stores, that I do know.

Going by your logic when has verizon released a phone on a friday(razr) or a monday(rezound)? Also verizon never did preorder more than a week ahead yet they did that for the razr. You can't always go by how things were in the past since they recently changed.

This sounds reasonable, but I'm still taking it with a grain of salt. LOL

Authorized Retail and there are no details for ordering yet. The sku/model number isn't even in our system at all. Obviously the phone exists but as far as our systems go it doesnt yet. Idk what that means as far as a release date but if it is gonna be the 21st then it'll be online only cuz stores dont and wont have the phone by then, that I can promise and guarantee.
