Taking A Screenshot

Is there any other method to take a screenshot other than lock+home button? I've tried over and over again but the only time I can get this method to work is on the lockscreen itself. Anywhere else and all that happens is the phone locks.

It may take a couple tried to get it down. Hold in power button until you feel it depress then tap home button. Once you get it it'll be easy.

Just keep holding it until home button is pressed, anytime before the menu comes up

Thanks guys, this tip really helped - feel stupid asking now! I was pressing it too hard.
