Taking a self-portriat

Is there a simple way to take a self-portrait? I was hoping i could press the lock button or the volume keys but that doesn't work. I also wasn't able to find a "self-portrait" shooting mode. Is there a simple way to do this or do you have to press the touchscreen?

Not that I know of. That's the only issue with the camera. Taking a pic of yourself/you and a friend is almost impossible. :/
