Taking my thunderbolt back....if you can help anything pls add.

Well i honestly do love my thunderbolt i do but its so hard to....first of all no htc sense.com etc, come on...but anyways, past that i have major problems....even after the update....yes iv'e done the update...

-My top right of my screen has like a little slit like when they made the screen it was like 1 cm short on the top so dust gets in.....i can see....and you can actually see it....

-kickstand peeling

- GPS TAKES 20 minutes if it ever does lock on to you....it tells me im like 80 miles away with a 3200 meter accuracy....yah imagine that big blue circle.

-My phone shuts off by itself...i still don't know why....whenever i just leave it on and don't play with it even for like an hour and sometimes just completely random like when im using it...it'l shut down, battery full even, charging and it just shuts down...

- My screen is also actually uneven....if you swipe to the right...you feel nothing you know...unlike on the htc desire which is the left part of my screen, when i swipe my finger left i hit the plastic....just weird...

- Also sometimes, my keyboard just won't type...i have to restart the whole phone....no matter what i do....

- And i think others also have this problem, but it hardly finds my city's weather...its in florida, give me a break..it says im in random places all over the world...and sometimes does not refresh.

-otherwise the occasional 1x or 3g pops in...

-Edit: ONCE AGAIN, IT JUST SHUT DOWN FOR NO REASON. Its not a reboot, just shuts down, when you have the screen off you don't even know till you try turn it back on.

I AM GOING TO TRY RETURN IT FOR A NEW ONE...THIS IS RIDICULOUS...MY REP IS NICE SO IF NOT HE WOULD AT LEAST HELP ME FILE FOR AN INSURANCE CLAIM....

sounds like a legit return/defective issue

except for the kickstand peeling

so how do i get that warranty? iv'e never actually had to do this....yet...
 
A friend of mine has a TB and since she read about the kickstand peeling, she placed some clear nail polish on the kickstand as soon as she pulled plastic of and hers hasn't had the peeling issue... Something to consider.
 
I think what he's saying is that the other problems seem to be manufacturer's defects and should be covered under the manufacturer's warranty if it is still within the applicable timeframe (30 days, 90 days, a year... etc.). I do not believe that this is something you have to purchase, but something inherent to the manufacturing of the device.

In other words, if a given product you buy (car, TV, whatever) fails due to poor quality control on behalf of the manufacturer (what it sounds like happened with your phone) the manufacturer usually offers a window/timeframe that you can return the item after purchase and have it replaced free of charge unless they determine you are responsible e.g. via abuse.

The kickstand peeling does not appear to qualify as a manufacturer's defect and if you get a replacement phone, you may want to take measures to prevent this from happening again.
 
k, thanks i guess, but does anyone want to tell me how i file for that? do i have to call them on that warranty card? ill look a lil....
 
This guy is either a troll or some kind if dense. Take the damn thing back to where you bought it. Nobody has this many problems. This thread should be closed
 
Chill, i didn't buy it at a store, on ebay, brand new...doesn't matter it has manufacture warranty so i guess ill call verizon or htc. Im not a troll, jerk.
