So my 2nd incredible has gone back for a black screen after attempting to unroot due to buggy issues. 1st phone I attempted to unroot just to see how easy it was, but the screen stopped working. My second phone my SD card busted after doing a restore of a previous back up, so I attempted to restart my phone thinking it was a bug and my phone would just constantly reboot. So again I tried to unroot after trying to reflash roms without success and same thing happened that happened to my first phone. So my question, do I chance it and reroot my new phone I'll be getting today?

Im trying to fix a friend phone that was doing the same thing but not rooted it just made it after the HTC loading screen comes on to load the hone screens the I went to hboot to factory reset and now it wont load past the white incredible screen now do you still have any original pc31.img files laying around like the stock rom so I could try and out it on the sdcard and flash it if you remember the links you got would help to thanks and I would root the phone it make it ten thousand times better and give an already great phone more potential

Ok I see the files and everything but looks like I needed to be rooted to use the update file and it would need s-off the phone wasn't rooted and I tried to get to the USB debugging but when i wiped the phone I'm pretty sure it would have took the debugging away but the PC img file is the back to stock file right?

you dont need to be rooted to add the update.zip file witch is the second link ... go into recovery and try adding it.
I can't get into recovery it shows it but it just keeps rebooting and then I got an Idea I saw this thread on unrooting but when I flashed the it said main version is older then I remember that he said it was 2.2 and I was trying to download the unroot to stock file it was the pc31.img file but it kept getting corrupted because of file transfer so if you can grab a unroot stock file for me without the file just the pc31.img if you know what I mean the big file has a read me and another file then the PC file I need that would be great

Oh and to also tell ya just in case this would yelp you understand my situation I let the phone sit after the factory reset and it actually turned on and got past me sliding the unlock screen and I get a
core.android system has force closed
and it tells me to press yes the 15 seconds later it turns off and I tried to get to the USB debugging but every damn time I finally get into the settings it shuts off so quick before I can because of me waisting time pressing the ok button for the force closes :-/

So Upstreammiami, should I reroot? Despite my 2 previous phones that have f'd up and the 2 16gb SD cards I've gone through?
Not immediately, the first phone I attempted to unroot just to see how easy it was. Then my phone's screen just wouldn't work at all, just solid black. Then with the second phone I had a MIUI ROM installed, I wanted to go back to Ultimate Droid. So I restored the back up and once back into UD my phone told me my SD card wasn't readable and I should try formating it. So I did, still wouldn't read. So I restarted the phone and it wouldn't get past the ROM's bootloader. I tried deleted all the storage, reflashing a new ROM nothing worked it wouldn't get past the bootloader. Then I said okay I'll try to unroot, then my phone when black same as it did earlier, however I could still get notifications for new text and the haptic feedback.
Thanks I'm going to.try and push this file now and this phone is bugged out I had let it sit for about a day again and now it wants to reboot a few times then if I press the trackball it loaded up finally and the gets to the unlock screen then reboots lol but I'm going to.test out that file now

Ok so when I when to hboot and the file had loaded really fast and it showed up on the corner and it said checking the pb31 file and it just did nothing it sent me to select bootloader , recovery and ect. ect. And when I restarted the phone it now just wants to stay at the white screen?

And Also to let you know the phone is not rooted and has s-on my PC will also not see the phone either I tried to get it as fastboot, USB hboot nothing and I tried to have a ruu run and see what happens and I get 170 error no connection because it can't find the phone but when I plug it in I hear the beep noise I tried to see if it was the laptop and see if I could see one of my other rooted phones that's stuck in recovery mode (optimus s) and it shows that its in recovery ahhhhhh I'm puling my hair out.
And I try a downgrading file and it loads perfect but I get the main version is older crap so I know its 2.2 so I need a stock file to put in hboot and it might let that load do I could get a stock software on it I have no other way to flash a rom so I think if I ha a pb31.img file that is a software that put a stick rom or something it might work? Just a idea or you might know something else

Ok I went an was going to format the card but when I went to click yes its default was fat 32 should I just do it just in case?
