phone wouldn't power up today. Never had any problems with it up till now. had the batteries (2) checked and tried a new battery, but to no avail. Went to the T-mobile store and they could only offer a g6 for a little over $5 (warranty). I know this is an upgrade in many ways but to me it's a downgrade because of the non-removable battery. Options are buying refurbished on amazon and spinning the wheel of bad luck, or getting something completely different. I have Jump so i could get a G7 but there is the damn battery issue again... I miss my g4 already... somebody talk some sense to me please? This sucks...:'(

Do you REALLY need the removable battery? Don't take this as an attack or the wrong way, please. I know everyone's cases are different, just most people I know just go through a charge a day (and when I used to purchase an extra battery for my phones, I discovered I seldom ever used it and now I have several batteries and special chargers lying around that I used maybe three or four times...but again, that's ME). So if in hindsight you don't really NEED the removable battery, why not just get a new phone that will probably last you longer than the G4 does now, will be more up to date, and maybe top it off with a slim external bank or power case? I have a Fast Charging one that fits in my pocket for days I know I MIGHT need the extra charge and since it its FC-compatible (or QC depending on your phone), it just takes 10 or 15 minutes to charge to enough juice to last me for the rest of the day. IF the battery is what's holding you back, that'd be my input. But then again, I don't really know if that's a good option for your use.

yeah, everything you said is valid. i just liked being able to drop another battery in when i would forget to charge it or while on the road video recording my kids sports events. I think maybe i'm leaning towards taking the warranty trade for a g6 at $5 and just riding it out till something better or more attractive comes along
