Tap and hold on an object no longer does what it is supposed to

On my Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2018) 10.5 model SM-T590 running android 10 when I tap and hold on an object no longer opens the menu to select cut copy paste select all etc. Instead it's trying to pick the object up to do a drag and drop. Also when I tap and hold on a link in Chrome I no longer get a menu opening to chose open in new tab open in incognito tab copy link etc. It now just briefly flashes that menu only. What did I muck up? I have emptied the cache and data

Welcome to Android Central! Is this only in Chrome, or in any app?

If it's just chrome reset it by long press the icon>tap info> go to storage and tap manage storage clear data and then back out and force stop it
