task killer?

Just got my gnex the other day, coming from the OG, and really love it so far. I installed med minder from the market, and it only works sometimes. It worked on the OG. I'm wondering if there is a task killer I can't find, or med minder is up to ICS yet. Any help woule be greatly appreciated.

Task killers are next to useless and sometimes harmful. You dont need them on ics. Just swipe to kill apps

After an update, you must launch Med Minder once to re-register your alarms. Because of this you should NOT enable automatic updates as you may not realize that an update has been applied and you will miss your alert. If the app fails alert you, please launch the app just to ensure the alarms are registered. If you still have a problem, please contact me.

If you have a task killer, put Med Minder in its ignore list or your alarms may not work!

I would suggest checking your alarms in the app to make sure they are set registered correctly as mentioned above, and if that does not help contact the developer...there is no built in app killer on the Gnex. However if the app is not using memory it will be replaced by an app that needs the memory but that should not prevent the app from working.

I don't think the OP was saying that they used a task killer, but asking if ICS had a hidden one that might have been killing his app.

Hit the App List button next to home and swipe the programs away to kill them off. It's a basic functionality of the phone.

Exactly. In ICS you don't need to kill tasks you can do it yourself just by swiping the app away. Task killers just drain battery anyway.

I must be the only person who doesn't bother manually killing tasks. I let the OS do what it was designed to do, which is manage itself.
