task manager and app manager displaying different ram information?

So if I hold down my center button and then select the RAM TAB it says I am using 1.07/1.56 gb of ram.

If I go to App Manager it says I am using 759 MB.......which is correct?

Aren't they measuring the same thing? Also, clear ram is closing out what? Should I use it?
