Is there a way to monitor/see what is running on the phone. My previous Samsung Fascinate I could hold down the home screen button for a few seconds and it would open the Task Manager where I could close all programs.

Does the TBolt have something similar as when I hold down the same button I can see the programs but have no options.

Holding down the Home key will allow you to see the "Recent Apps." Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > select the Running tab.

That being said you should just let the Android OS stop/close any unnecessary apps when it wants to, when it wants to... I've heard doing the above will take up more battery than just letting the OS doing it's job.
