hello, so i used to plug my dinc into my car cd player through usb to charge and aux to here music ,since ive got the tb tried to do the same and my tb charging option opens up then quickly goes away and wont continueing charging?? any help ,sucks because my phone drains so fast and usb only way to charge right now .any suggestions thanks

My Droid1 needed a 1000ma charger for the car and USB can't deliver that much power. I would assume the TB needs at least that to run and charge at the same time. I would suggest you get a charger that has that much output.

Ok, let's try some trouble shooting... the car charger works for you DINC, but not TB... any issues using your wall charger or when it's connected to your PC??? Have you looked at the part that plugs into your device and compared that to your PC/Wall charger cable???

no ,no problems at all from pc or wall charger .. and when i plug it it the charge /usb /disk drive options pops up ,but the quickly goes away and wont come back ?? i didnt think that i would use that much more power coming directly from the cd player from my dinc to tb? tried usb debbugging dont know

From my electronics background, here is my assessment. First off, you have to remmeber that USB port on your car stereo technically can be used for charging, but thats not why it was put on there. The TB uses power faster than the DInc and I would guess that when it is trying to charge, it attempts to suck more power from the charger also. The TB is probably trying to pull an amount of power that the circuitry in your car stereo is not made to put out. The car stereo probably has protective circuitry so that when a certain threshold of current is hit by the USB port, it cuts the power to it to protect it's own circuitry. Which would explain why it momentarily starts to charge, then stops.

Like somebody said above, just buy a good charger off amazon for 5 bucks before you jack your car stereo up.

Sounds more like a problem with your car charger... any chance to try a friend or co-workers car charger???
