I have an upgrade coming soon. Are any of the TB accessories compatible with the Rezound? Primary concern is the desk dock I have for the TB. Also is there an extended battery available? I see nothing on the Seidio website. Lastly I use mybackup pro on my tb. Will all my apps and app data switch to the new phone if a restore is done?

Most of the TB accessories will not fit the Rezound with the exceoption of the wall charger and some generic cases

The rezound has an extended battery like the TB one, but people who have used the TB battery in the Rezound say the phones battery status indicator doesnt work correctly and of course the back cover is different....see the battery threads

Yes mybackup pro will transfer your apps just fine. I didnt trasfer the data, but I would expect it works as well.

If I do get the Rezound I will definitely get a new ext battery. I just was hoping that the desk dock would be compatible.

i tried the seidio desk dock, and it wasn't a perfect fit, but it worked for my rez with extended battery, but no case, didn't fit with the case. i have not tested other configurations.

if you root your rez and run mybackup pro, then it should restore your apps and app data.

The wall charger and external battery charger works fine on the rez. The extended tb battery will work on the rez as well, but you would need a rez extended battery door cover as the ext bat door cover from the tb will not work. The indicator seemed to work fine for me.

Vzw website says that the TB dock is compatible. So the TB battery will fit the RZ you just need to get the new battery door?

I don't have the official tb dock, so can't comment on that, if Verizon says it is, then you should be fine, if not, you can always return it. The tb extended battery works on the rezound but you need to get a rezound extended battery bay door. Unfortunately, Verizon doesn't sell them separately.

I think I saw it on htcpedia.

Make sure that it is the extended battery door, not the regular one. Verizon was selling the rezound extended battery with door for $25-30, not sure if it is still valid now.

Ok so are there any os issues? Text messages going to the wrong people, reboots, GPS not fixing location etc?

I am just trying to make sure that the bugs are all worked out as well before I commit to a new phone.

I understand.I had a thunderbolt and found that the resound is better for me in every aspect, and not really any major bugs that can't be easily fixed.

I'm considering going from Thunderbolt to Rezound. I still don't have 4G in my area but supposedly they were doing the physical work to set it up and get it rolling in my area -- said sometime later this week in the newspaper article.

Anyway, I digress ... I'm looking for human input, good, bad or indifferent about your experiences going from Thunderbolt to Rezound. If there aren't any glaring wonderful (or not so wonderful) new things on the Rezound and the battery on the Rezound sucks like my TB then there's no reason to spend $200 on a new phone.

I currently don't have nor need the MHS but I'm thinking about getting a Kindle or a tablet and would want to use my phone as the MHS so that I can get Internet on the Kindle or tab when I'm out and about. Far as I know both phones will do this.

This is where I'm at today so please give me your input, thanks!
