Sorry if this is a stupid question but I would like to know if FDD phones can work on TDD networks. Let me explain -
I'm heading to China on a long business trip and I am thinking of purchasing a Moto X Pure Edition. Their website claims 4G LTE (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25, 28, 40, 41) are all supported. I called China Mobile and China Mobile says they support TD - LTE 38, 39, 40. But they told me Moto X Pure Edition will not be supported in 4G network.
So that's confusing the crap out of me. How is that possible when it says 40/41 are supported? I'm assuming it has something to do with TDD/FDD.
