Basically the US unlocked model and carrier variants.

The US unlocked model is getting security patches regularly every month and even though the firmware versions aren't getting bumped up to latest the security patches are latest.

For the firmware versions, it might need carrier testing/approval which will take it's own sweet time and that's going to take longer.

So it's not simple in USA. There are multiple carrier variants with their own firmwares and US unlocked model with it's own firmware and they all receive updates as different rate and times with different firmware version numbers.

So you can't just say US receiving ATE6 update. While technically it's true as of now only T-Mobile has received that I believe and that was pushed with May security patch. The software update matrix in US is not starting forward.

It was easier when the USA only had their own carrier versions for each carrier.

Now it seems that there are unlocked models, similar it would seem to the global models and their updates, and the good old carrier locked models that receive their updates at the behest of that carrier.

It is available from SAMMobile but I don't want to wait 5 hours...I thought someone might have saved it, as I should have done


EDIT: NVM I am an ***** I have it...I have an unlocked Sammy on TMob network I just have to install the U version instead of U1..It just messes with OTA downloads
