teathering, can't figure it out

I'd need a lot more information to be sure, but I'll guess.

Are you trying to make your HTC Thunderbolt share its Internet connection with your husband's iPhone over WiFi using FoxFi?

If so, FoxFi cannot share over WiFi on the Thunderbolt. You'll have to use Bluetooth, and I don't know if the iPhone can accept a Bluetooth-based Internet connection.

I use the latest wifi tether app from google android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting and my coworkers can connect to my thunderbolt with their Iphones (a 4, 4s & 5).

My Settings are:

Wifi encryption enabled
Don't disable bluetooth enabled
Wifi driver reload enabled
Enable access control enabled
Mss Clamping enabled
Routing fix enabled
Disable wake lock enabled
