teathing with non root

Hi all. Just moved an no isp yet. Was trying to figure out how to terher with out root. Installed a few free apps to no luck. Trying to use my netbook. ( Asus ere 1000, Ubunto OS. It sees the accesses pt but when I look on the phone, no up load down load on g4 or g3. Is verzion blocking. Is there a work around? Wiki ? Help

I use a free tether app and tether all the time. I probably tether about 2 to 3 gig per month with no problem. Just go to Google Play and type in Tether and download the free Tether app. There is something that you have to download on your computer to receive it and then you just connect the phone, and connect through the tether icon on the computer. It will not automatically connect, you have to manually do it.

Thanks afrats, I dl the file to phone and went to instal on netbook, but hit a snag with os. Been a wile since I've used the terminal. Got error when unpacking. Have to go to ubuntu forum. Any 1 else have ideas, thoughts
