I have both the Tech21 Classic Mesh and the (*)Speck CandyShell Grip cases. I like both and they're built exactly what they were intended for. The Tech21 seems to be more refined while the (*)Speck CandyShell Grip is solidly built. They both weigh about the same. While the T21CM can get "slimy" since it's smooth all over. And yes, the PWR button is stiff. The (*)SCSG does have smooth and shiny surface where there's no rubber grips, it does better (I think) in handling fingerprints and the buttons are "soft." Both cases easy to clean/wipe off grease.

While these two (2) I've had only for a short period of time, I'd recommend these without hesitation.

I went day drinking the other day and got lit up... I was showing the tech 21 case off and threw it twice pretty hard on tile.. not a scratch on the phone or case... it's a winner!!!

... did you make sure to drop it so it landed on its back??? or did you just whip i at any angle?? the 2nd sounds DANGEROUS. I think these hones hitting the corner case or no case is the death of them.

Make sure you get what you want the first time with Tech 21. Their customer service is useless.
