Well, actually we are in the same camp just missing each other, because the red "one" is what I was referring to . . the rumor is they will call it the dna+ or something else; that's what I meant by "variant" . . and of course I'd never put it past vzw to do something "special" to it . . . but, yes, what you said is what I'm hoping for (except that I really don't want a red phone, I'm hoping for black with red trim instead).

I prefer phonedog but across the board this phone has decent reviews. One universal thing that most reviewers agree on is the s4 will sell much more. Htc has a long uphill battle ahead of them. They cant go ahead and in 6 months release another one or the company is toast. Too many people have been burned by htc including myself.
 
really hoping this device finds its way to Verizon. looking for a change over iOS. This device has everything I have been hoping an Android device would become.

Yes ! I always preferred Android but was also always pissed that they looked like cheap garbage compared to the iPhone, not anymore !

This isn't the first descent looking android phone and the iPhone looks like a small child's play thing

Hah ! ok. Im not talking about decent. Im talking about "OMG" worthy. This is the first android phone to make people have this reaction. The iPhone was and is at the top of the podium for hardware dont know what your saying.

I've had plenty of iPhone's, I know what I'm talking about as well as anyone. I'm not debating the build quality, I'm taking a shot at the size. They're small, and that's a big reason so many people like myself are saying I've HAD iPhone's

Misinterpreted you. Yeah I guess thats a reason. I never minded the size so much. Its definitely better with a 4.5" + screen though.
 
This is a hell of a review. I would love this to be my next, but am not in a position to buy a new phone right now. Maybe in a couple months...

I really would like to see the HTC One succeed but the S4 is already starting to eclipse it in the media and it hasn't even been released yet. I have only seen one commercial on YouTube featuring the One thus far.

I was actually watching tv for the first time in a while yesterday and saw an HTC one commercial about 5 times on adult swim of all places! But i heard they did some mega advertising at the MTV Movie Awards last night as well
