technologically impaired need help with root

I am no means tech savvy, but from my understanding the only way to get my phone to WiFi tether without paying Sprint is to root it. is there like a "root for dummies" or someone with alot of patience that could help me? I don't want to change much of anything I justwant to WiFi tether.

See at the top of the Sprint Samsung Forum, the subforum labeled Sprint Galaxy S3 Rooting, ROMs, and Hacks? That might be a good place to look.

I'm assuming that since you're in this forum, you have a Sprint GS3. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SPRINT GALAXY S3, YOU'RE IN THE WRONG PLACE, AND IGNORE WHAT FOLLOWS.

Once you've read the entire thread, go back to the first post and follow the procedure there.It's the easiest way there is to root Sprint Galaxy S3, but will brick your phone if you try it on something other than a Sprint Galaxy S3.
