Telephone calls go to 1X

So I am new with the phone, still getting used to it.

Recently noticed when making a call, the service changes to 1X and if you try to use an app I get a message that Mobile Data is not available in this call.


I have great 4GLtE signal in my area, doesnt seem to matter where I am that this happens.


Maybe it has been mentioned here before, but isnt this phone capable of doing voice and data at the same time? I could have sworn that my MAXX was able to do so..

Sounds like you need this update

Out of the box, when it was released, the Turbo did not allow for simultaneous voice and data. There may still be situations where it won't work.

Actually, after turning on Advanced calling, I was able to make a call as well as use data at the same time. I think I remember a conversation recently with my local VZW rep that said any new base stations they are adding will only have voice over LTE, that may be why this is happening...
