I really wanted to keep the S6 Edge for its sheer uniqueness and beauty, but I am really thinking it's better to get a regular S6. Reason being I am sold on the protection and look of a tempered glass screen protector and it's looking like none of the Big Players are making one for the Edge. I'm talking about ZAGG and OTTERBOX and SPIGEN who make good ones, looks like nothing is in the works except for the crappy PET FILM!! There are a couple of obscure brands out there, Olixar (which has been on preorder for over a month) on some site called "mobilefun"??, and Amzer Kristal which gets crap ratings and is "out of stock!" Anybody know why ZAGG and the reputable companies are not making a tempered glass screen protector for the S6 Edge? The S6 has one by ZAGG and Verizon Wireless and I think I'm heading in the direction of another model cellphone. I just like the added protection and feel of the tempered glass.

Sounds to me like you should get the regular s6. The s6 proper is an awesome phone.

S6 is a awesome phone. My only problem though with tempered glass is they tend to break. I broke one and I don't even know how. My wife broke one when she dropped her phone so that war ok as if protected phone but the second time she doesn't know how it broke. I know a lot of people love them though. The chances of getting one for the edge are slim to none. At least one that covers edge to edge. I just got a zagg invisible shield. First one for me. This has been the best screen protector I have had. Feels great. And it's durable. Recently I had my phone in my back pocket with my keys. When I removed the phone from my pocket the keys had bunched then screen protector up. I flattened it out as best I could and after two days the screen protector flattened itself out and looks new again. Needless to say I was very impressed. I will no only buy this screen protector from now on after seeing it work in action.

Best of luck deciding though. If you like the tempered glass I would do as other suggested and get the s6. It would be your best bet.

Yes, you are right, instead of freaking out waiting for a glass one for the Edge...I just like the look of the Edge...O:-)

Yes, in my mind I already am resigned to the fact that I will probably only be able to get a regular ZAGG film for the Edge-I had recently started using the tempered glass(always ZAGG) and loved the feel, didn't have any breakage...I may very well get the S6...:) can't have your cake and eat it too.

I've used tempered glass since they came out and likewise like them. They do break a bit too easily but are otherwise very good at protecting the phone. However, the screen protector is the tail, for me, not the dog and I try to not let the tail wag the dog. The Edge was such a better looking device that I decided to compromise on the protector.

I will say that if you or anyone else gets a screen protector for the Edge, have it installed. It is the toughest install I've ever done.

Good luck whatever you decide, though.

To be fair, it is difficult, but it's not brain surgery. I have put on two screen protectors in the last two weeks, one for a black edge and one for a white edge, and both came out bubble free, and actually saved my screen. I dropped it in the corner of the kitchen table hit the screen aand it punctured the film. Thankfully no scratching on the glass, so it looks I will be doing a third one. You just have to have a lot of light, no distractions, and also let it sit for at least 12 hours. I know 24 is best but no one is going to wait a whole day after they have their phone realistically, so if you can do it at night, charger phone on a charging pad or USB and wait as late as you can next morning so that settles.

Actually there have been much harder screen protectors to put on. But the bottom line is GET ONE!!

It looks like Spigen has a tempered glass protector out for the Edge. Anyone have experience with it, or any of the other no name tempered glass protectors for the Edge?
