Tempered glass screen protector

Generally things you keep in your pocket have a lower hardness rating than 9H. These can't scratch the Tempered Glass. Pocket sand, little grainy stuff you don't even know is there, can wreak havoc on it. That's why I've never understood the scratch tests on YouTube.

Exactly this.

I'm finding even more scratches which makes me think it's the protector. I'm very critical of my phone and I'm sure I would have seen this if it was the display.

Is a screen protector even necessary with gorilla glass 3? My friend is telling me that he hasn't had 1 on his phone for a year and it's been fine

Yes, if your Tempered glass scratched than the GG3 would have.

Yes Zaggs are warranted but they make it difficult and expensive to use. You used to just have to return it to place of purchase but now you have to ship it at your expense and hope they honor their end. NO THANKS.

Hope they honor their end? You pay $5.99 up front, they ship a new one and once you receive the new one you send the old one back with a single stamp. The whole system is set up just as if you were making a new purchase. The warranty is fine.

Next time I'll get a name brand. Although I seem to be the only one getting scratches

Why should I have to pay anything if it's a so-called free replacement? I won't buy another Zagg product ever again TYVM. NOT WORTH IT.

Paying shipping isn't "paying for the product" There's several warranties that have you pay for shipping. Considering most big companies don't even offer this option its a welcome addition. There isn't one single Tempered Glass protector that I've used that compared to Zagg in feel, finger print resistance and clarity all in one.

MIME, for example, charges $27 or so for the first. Then each one after is 40% off so about $17. How is that any better minus the chaper up front cost? The feel isn't as smooth either.

But hey, its your choice. I don't really care what you do since it doesn't effect me but the warranty is fine in comparison to many.

How strong are they supposed to be? I got one yesterday and it already has scratches. I'm very careful with my phone

Hi Johnny,

Did the protector come with any sort of guarantee?

If you sent them an email or called them up they might be able to help you out.

That's what we usually do anyway.
