I'm just keeping the Verizon plastic shipping protector on for now. Feels good, no worrying about it peeling up at the top and bottom, and seems to be staying well. If it does wear out, I'll go without.
I slipped my tab under the case lip. XDThe shipped protector would be better without the little pull tab which is bound to snag on something, also why did they not cover the LG logo at the bottom?
I'm thinking about getting one because the screen protector that came with the phone was installed crooked and my case messed it up.
Just watched this video review
Looks OK, only 5 so so reviews on Amazon

I've been lucky enough to walk out of the Sprint store the last 2 times with my box still sealed. I don't know why, but really enjoy being the one to pop the cherry on my new phones. Both times the sales reps said they had to activate them in store, but in the end I walked out with a sealed box.Sprint variants definitely DID NOT come with one either on the front screen or in the box....except for the typical flimsy box thing protector which they always peel off when activating the phone.

Looks like another good one. Note the install and placement.

why would you put another layer of glass on top of your screen, which is already protected with a glass layer on top of it? Do you guys all use the tempered glass screen protector?
To your first question, would you rather replace a cheap screen protector that broke or became scratched up, or the entire display for the same reasons? Screen protectors are sacrificial in nature so that damage isn't caused to the phone itself in most cases.
To the second question, I think I'm going to sit this round out. I used to use tempered glass protectors, but not this time. On my G4, it was replaced under warranty and I simply never got around to replacing the screen protector. Almost a year later and it's still flawless. My Verizon V20 has a clear plastic protector for shipping protection, which I'll keep on as long as it stays. When it can no longer hold up, I'll go without.
