have been toying around with the idea of external flash lights for a phone, and found "Nova light" wireless flash - on kickstarter. Looks interesting but pricey though.

I have a simple idea.
On galaxy s5, there is function light. Switch it on. Go to camera app, do not use flash, then take a picture or catch a video.
It should improve bad exposure by adding light to low-light scene.
It is better than flash as it does not create halo in the middle of the scene, reveal colors, and you can even use it while capturing video.

This is great functionality.
