Terrible streaming quality

Just had my 3rd Google Play movie refunded for terrible quality. I mean not even SD, it's grainy, pixelated junk and not watchable. It's not my WI-FI as I turn around and order the same movie on Apple TV(also wifi) and it works great. Anyone else having issues?

I don't use Google Play Movie but I have no issues with HBO Go or Netflix. You say it's not your WiFi but how can you be sure? How many bars is your Chromecast saying your WiFi signal has? I'm not saying that there isn't an issue; however, the Apple TV may have a stronger antenna which is allowing it to broadcast just fine but the Chromecast may not be getting as good of a signal thus making it unable to broadcast in HD.

I have not had an issue with Netflix. Chromecast says it has full bars, and I'm getting 30mbps+ down. The chromecast is about 12 inches from the router. Maybe ATV does have a better antenna, but that is still a problem with Chromecast. I have an ideal setup, and it doesn't work. It might just be Google Play.
