I went an picked up a Note 8 today thinking it would be a better fit with my Work.

The Pen especially intrigued Me.

3 Hours later I returned it.

I am no Google Fanboy so don't go there. I've had Windows, iPhone, Blackberry, Nexus, LG, and the S7 Edge as daily drivers.

The whole Samsung Experience just wasn't for Me and the Pen just didn't work the way I was hoping it would.

Yeah, the Screen is Nice, but in the end, I really enjoy the User Experience I have gotten used to with the Pixel 2 XL.

The disappearing Home/Back/Recent App Buttons were the worst.

Yes, I could have held out and done my time with it, but after 3 Hours I knew the Pixel 2 XL was a better Smarthphone for Me.

I can't believe I am even saying this, I miss the ease of using the Google Assistant too, never realized how much I actually use it until today.

Anyways, it was a brief test and I am glad to be back using the Pixel 2 XL again.

That was the one phone that I may have bought instead of my 2xl..... Pleased I decided to stick with Google, this is a great smartphone

Came from a note 8 about a week and half ago and I am sooooo pleased at the fluidity, user experience, smoothness and overall package of the pixel XL 2 compared to the note, not that it was a bad phone because it wasn't but the pixel just works better for me. Man, forgot about that camera too!!

I've been really close to pulling the trigger on an S9+ lately so this just further reaffirms my decision today to get a pixel 2

Both are great phones. But for me note series fits my daily routine better.

No doubt the Note has some nice features and that's what's so great is that We have Choices. Enjoy it.

My mum ordered a Note 8 and asked me to set it up for her. Wow! I was actually quite underwhelmed by the experience.

To be fair I am not sold on the whole Samsung thing. I had an S3 with nothing but problems from Day 1 and lousy customer service from Samsung who returned it to me with the same faulty microphone I sent it in for. I got rid of it within a few months and swapped it for an iPhone 4S. I then tried my husband's old Note 1 when he got a Note 4. It was clearly on its way out and it really put me off Android for years.

After flirting with Windows Phone (I loved WinPhone 8.1) and iPhone I am now a very proud Pixel 2XL owner and user. I love the beauty of the phone, the ease of use, fluidity and lack of bloatware. In every sense it is the best phone I have ever owned.

My husband's Note 4 finally died last month and I bought him a used Pixel XL OG and he really loves to use it. Doesn't miss his Note 4 at all. He needed a 3.5mm headphone jack and absolutely hates curved screens.

Although the Note 8 was an OK phone I was really pleased to send it to my Mum and have never missed using it.

I had the note 8 for about 2 months and traded it in for the iPhone 8+ then the X soon after. I like the hardware in the Note 8 but Samsung software really bugs me. I still have my X but just picked up the Pixel 2XL and love the pure Google software experience. It will be hard to go back to another Android phone after this one.

I have a Note 8 which I use for work, and I recently got a Pixel 2 XL to replace my iPhone 7 Plus. The Note 8 is a really good phone, and I like it very much. However, from an OS perspective, stock Android is just a much better experience. The only thing that the Note 8 has that I wish the Pixel 2 had is wireless charging - so much easier to plop the device down on a charging pad than fiddle with the cable to connect to the phone.

You must have activated the bar to disapper lol. You can easily make it not to.

I have both phones. Love Note 8 a lot more than Pixel 2 xl.

Pixel going on sale this weekend :)

I don't mind Samsung stuff, I had the s7 flat and loved it. But this time around I really wanted to try a Google phone. I am enjoying it. The thing I like most is how clean it is. Not a alot of apps to disable or hide, that was actually my only gripe with Samsung.
