Test your screen sensitivity easily

I've noticed that the galaxy nexus's screen is much less sensitive than my nexus s.

to prove it:

1- Go to the developer options section in settings.
2- enablepointer location.
3- touch the screen as lightly as you can. you will notice a red number on the upper right corner of the screen named ""Prs:". this indicates the level of contact needed to regester a touch.
4- do the same on different areas of the screen & remember try to touch the screen as lightly as you can ((the goal here is to find the lower number that regesters a touch))

on the nexus s I can easily get a responce on a Prs:0.11 to 0.15.

the galaxy nexus starts to regester the touch on a minimum of Prs:0.27

Can you guys test this out on your galaxy nexii & post the results here?

the lowest i can get is .27....i have a screen protector on as well....are you sure that this number translates to different phones?

I was noticing this when I touch the back or home buttons as slow and lightly as I can, they don't even register. Unless you press them normally of course.

Actually the whole screen does this. Just compared it with my droid x, which is much more sensitive.

I dont know if it translates between devices. But practically, my nexus s with the low number of (0.11-0.14) is much more sensitive than my gnex with a 0.27.

what will you notice is the firmer you touch the higher the number goes

I have this same issue with the home and back buttons, seem like their sensitivity is much lower and require a harder flat finger press.

Maybe they did this because people were accidentally hitting when typing on the keyboard? I think they should increase overall screen sensitivity and only reduce the soft keys like home and back for when the keyboard is popped up typing.

I have no screen protector and the lowest I got was 0.27- mostly i get 0.28

Very interesting. .28 is as low as i can get. If i place a finger on the screen slow enough and drag it around slowly, the touch is never registered. If i move slow enough i am able to apply large amounts of pressure with out it registering.

This phone is buggier than frog terds.

For give my spelling, my auto correct does not work either (nuber one complaint).
