Testing waters with gnex

I have been using my galaxy note (i717) with my straight talk service for the past few months and am liking it. I only have a trident 2-piece case on it. I had bought a galaxy nexus (i9250) from the play store for my wife since she wanted something with a better camera than her iphone4. She took has straight Talk. After about 2 weeks she wanted her iphone back so I ended up with the gnex. I am wanting to give it a try out especially since my note has been having connectivity issues when going from wifi to gsm.

With all that said, can anyone suggest a good case for the gnex? I am a sys administration by day and run a lawn care business and work on cars in the evening. If I stick with the gnex I will probably want the sedio 3500/3800 extended battery. Is there a case that offers good protection with that battery and has a belt clip?

For me, the Otterbox Defender works. I have dropped my GNEX many times and have not had a scratch or cracked screen. It adds some bulk for sure. I also need to file another insurance claim for the outer shell/holster, the top tab broke again. The first time was a no hassle replacement of the whole case. Hopefuly that is the case again. No pun intended. I also work at a salvage auto auction so i need all the protection I can get. Have been using this phone since 12/15.

I have had otterboxes on multiple phones and all were top notch. Also had a few sedio cases. Only issue I forsee is with the extended battery if I get it. I need a full protection case with holster/clip like the otterbox has

I think I just found my answer. After looking at today's AC DoD I found the Sedio Convert case for the galaxy nexus w/ 3500/3800 extended battery. I will try out the gnex over the next few days with the stock battery and otterbox I had for my wife just to get a feel for it. Then if I decide to keep it I will get the extended battery and convert case.
