Is anyone else having issues getting their 10.1 to tether? I have a rooted OG Droid and have tried Wireless Tether and Barnacle. I know it is working because I have tethered my laptop to it. I cannot seem to get the 10.1 to recognize the available network though. Any hints?

Your droid is broadcasting in ad-hoc mode. Once the Tab gets rooted it's an easy fix to let it recognize ad-hoc but by default honeycomb does not. I don't know if there is a way to make the droid broadcast in infrastructure mode but start by googling that.
You will need version 3 of wireless tether.

I love this tablet, but I cannot figure out the wifi tethering. I have tried the wifi tethering through Google. And as I said, it works because my laptop can find it, but the 10.1 does not. I guess I may have to wait until more is figured out with it.
I didn't have this issue with my Acer. It ran Honeycomb 3.0
Not sure if it's a 3.1 issue.
Someone suggested I switch to tether version 3.
It's been working fine ever since.

I'm tethering using Bluetooth from my stock OG Droid X and it is working great. If you want directions, reply and I'll tell you how to do this.
I'll post it here later tonight. It would take to long to post from my X. The method works great though.

Skip Step One! I accidentally included it, but I don't want to delete it now for fear of creating more confusion as it is referenced below.
1: on Galaxy Tab, go to settings>wireless & networks>tethering and portable hotspot and make sure that "Bluetooth Tethering" is UNCHECKED, this is NOT what we want
2: on Galaxy Tab, go to settings>wireless & networks> enable airplane mode
3: on Galaxy Tab, go to settings>wireless & networks> enable bluetooth
4: on your android phone, go to settings>wireless & networks (or equivalent)> enable bluetooth
5: Make sure that both devices are discoverable, so that they can see one another, should be in settings>wireless & networks>bluetooth settings
6: on Galaxy Tab, go to settings>wireless & networks>bluetooth settings>select your phone in order to pair it with your Galaxy Tab
7: a box should pop up on both devices, select Pair on both devices
8: on Galaxy Tab, once the pairing is complete (still inside bluetooth settings), select the phone, it should say paired but not connected underneath it
9: The two devices should connect, once connected there should be a wrench next to the connected device, clicking on this will show an option to tether, click this option if it is not automatically enabled
10: TA-DA, if it worked then in the bottom right hand corner of your Galaxy Tab should have two bluetooth icons, one should indicated that your bluetooth is turned on and the other should say bluetooth tethered, you are now using your phones internet data plan on your Galaxy Tab

Thanks for the instructions ptf - unfortunately, it doesn't appear we have the same "tethering and portable hotspot" selections in your instructions on the Tab 10.1.
Add that my download of Tether 3.0 shuts down my Samsung Epic phone, and I'm out of ideas (for now).
If anyone has it working with the combination of a Samsung Galaxy Epic 4G and the Tab 10.1, I'd love to know how you did it. Thanks.

Alas...I couldnt get it to work either.
UPDATE: But I was able to tether using "Wireless Tether" via my Thunderbolt, so all is good!
