Tethering on incrdible??

Hey guys , just recently rooted incredible and installed tethering app. it works amazing with my laptop. just wondering...will i be billed for this?

Not as long as you don't do anything crazy like have 7-8 GB of data use in a month.

Technically it's a violation of the terms of your contact (so they can bill you a ridiculous amount for the exact same service).

However, if you keep your usage to a reasonable level (e.g. not downloading torrents/music/etc.), it's not something they'd ever really know about.

I have used here and there for the past year and have had no trouble with Verizon like stated above as long as you don't go crazy with the usage you will be ok.

A few of my colleagues have rooted Incredibles and utilize the tether app without issue.

While they have gotten away with it for a while now and I suspect will get away with it in the future, VZW can charge you for it if they catch you.

As Mr. Gibb aptly points out the nail that sticks out the highest gets hit.

just using pdanet for tethering on my non root Dinc and its great, verizon will never suspect! haha
