Text bubbles?

Since my phone forced the newest update I have noticed several inconvenient things,

One being my text bubbles. The font and the text bubbles are almost identical I have a very difficult time looking and reading my texts now and for the life of me I can not see where to change the settings to either;
A) change the color of my text bubbles.
B) change the text so it contrasts with my text bubbles.

Not to mention my battery drains substantially faster. I am not a fan at all if this forced update, ontop of the bubbly childish look of it all.

I have attached a photo of a text to display the inconvenience of the view.

Which phone do you have? It looks like a Samsung -- this can happen if you use a 3rd party theme that has not been updated for Android Pie. Change your theme to an official Samsung one.

I apologize I assumed this was a Samsung s8 forum I see it's a android 8.0

Yes, I am using a Samsung s8 I had got an official theme, I can finally read the messages now but I am still unable to find where I can change the text bubble and text colors

Try one more time to apply stock theme , long press empty page on home screen ,choose theme >tap 3 lines upper left corner >my stuff >default theme


Edit > left upper corner
