Text Message Attachments

When someone sends me a picture via text it shows up as a Slideshow and will only display for like 5 seconds. Is there a way to change that setting or at a minimum the lenght of time a picture is displayed?

I believe this is something that will be fixed in GB.

Edit: Also, if you start a slideshow in Gallery, there is a setting for Playback Speed. Try setting it to a slower setting there and see if that helps.

I simply tap the screen and hit pause. That works for now until a real fix is in.

This is one of the reasons I switched to Handcent SMS. Really annoying to be forced to send or view all attachments as a slide show. WTF
