Text message bubbles white

I'm so disappointed with my samsung s7......after all the wonderful reviews I am really gutted. After losing s memo and disliking the contacts bland white vertical contacts list, I now find the text messaging bubbles are all white? Why are all the screens so white and bland?! Can I colour my text bubbles without downloading an app? Also, how to enlarge text? It was so easy on the s4, I just held the volume button!

The text size can be changed by pinching in/out with two fingers.
You can also go to message app, settings and choose "" use phone font size ".
The theme is revolting, you can change the background but not the bubbles. (in stock app).
Despite many ppl complaining, google persists with these glaring, battery sucking, eyeball burning white themes and not even an option
to go dark!
Lot of unhappy customers out there!

This must be a Samsung thing, because the text bubbles on my Nexus 5X are all different colors depending on who the contact is.
