Text message contact list

I guess this is more of a Google question. in my text message contact lists (only) I guess from installing apps that I have since deleted I still have contacts. trying to figure out how to delete those contacts. And if I delete them from my phone will they still come back from Google sync samsung S3. 4.2.2
