Text message drop down notification window showing my responses

Whenever I reply to messages through the notification window, the messages stay there and not only that, it also shows my response, my text. Is there a way to disable that and only see the new incoming messages on the notification window, and not mine? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure there is a way to disable that. I experience the same thing. As a result, after I respond to a message I just mark the message as read and don't even worry about it.

Yeah, you'll see that on Android Pie devices, not just Samsung. Google thinks it's a good idea.

slightly off topic but all my messages used to show the actual message but I feel after the update each app just says "new message". I checked settings but each app isnt hidden or minimal. It shows the reg stuff. Any advice?
