Text message "skins"?

Hey everyone. I just switched from the RAZR maxx to the new droid maxx.

On my RAZR maxx the text messages were a much darker theme and u personally prefer it over the new white version.

Is there a way to change the theme colors back to the way it was on my original RAZR maxx?

Coming from the Bionic mine was a dark (black) background too. I prefer it also. I have not found anyway of changing it yet. I tried gosms, you can re-skin it but I still preferred the simplicity of the stock texting app though.

Hope someone else has some input on this

Try the app sliding messaging. It replaces the stock app and is miles better than the old handcent/gosms etc. Comes with multiple themes like card UI, hangouts, etc and then light/dark/black and more. Otherwise there isn't any way to just change the color in the settings of the stock app or anything.

Verizon Messages app will allow you to change the background colors and bubble colors if that is what you are tryin to accomplish. It replaces the stock app and works pretty well for me and is pretty simplistic also.

Take a look at any popular messaging app in the Play Store. Most offer skin downloads to customize the app theme or allow you to make the customizations yourself.

thers is no theme/skin option, all there is sms enabled, storage , text sms, mulitmedia messages, notification

If you are using VZW Messenger, while not in a specific message, tap on the three dots top right corner and chose customize
