Text Message Sound Notification

I have the Sprint HTC U11. I updated to oreo and now have an issue with the sounds and notification settings. There used to be the option to turn off the sound, ie: silence notifications for text messages in the text message app. Then in the sound and notifications settings on my phone I would turn off the notifications sounds. That would ensure no message sounds or apps would go off during the night.
The word 'Notification' is listed in the options of the messaging app but when I click on it nothing happens.
Now that the setting is missing from the text message app I am wondering if this is built in to oreo or is this a google messaging issue.

Thanks for the reply. The issue has resolved itself. It must have been some sort of lag in the update. Today when I tap notifications it goes to the screen that allows me to choose various settings.
