Text messages does not vibrate

Just got my GS3. This is my first Android phone (moved over from blackberry).

I want my phone to have sound AND vibrate when I get a call and text message.

Works when I get a phone call, but when I get a text all I hear is my sound with no vibrate.

What am I doing wrong?

Open your messaging app and hit the button to the left of your home button and open your settings and you will see it at the bottom of the settings menu View attachment 33895

And remember if you don't have your system volume on you won't hear the notification sound anyway so always have your volume on

What OS version are you running? I don't have the vibrate option nor those emergency message options.

Look at my screen shot. My menu just ends with Select Ringtone. No vibration setting...
