text messaging auto correct

Is there a way to auto correct when misspelling a word while texting other than touching the blue highlighted correct spelling of the word. My older htc evo had that function where u just hit the space bar for the correct spelling of the word. Idk, it was convienent and I was used to that way.

That's a setting in Language and Input: Samsung keyboard and you have to turn on Auto Replacement.
