Text Messaging Issue

It didn't work. This is so annoying. I know I could just use a different app but I don't want to and shouldn't have to. I would just use the stock LG messaging app but for some reason I can't send gifs on that app.

Use your stock LG messaging app for now. That android messaging app seems to be giving others problems as well.

Well I also have Textra. Only issue/strange thing is I have two text conversations with my dad for some reason but at least they come in.

Try resync-ing your text message stack through Textra. "Textra Settings > About > Resync"

I did that and it fixed the issue with having double conversations only until i received another text from my Dad.

Now I did something and Android messages looks like it's trying to load in messages but there aren't any to load. I'm going to go to the Verizon store later to see if they know anything. I'm sure they won't. I also want to see if they have a working model and if I can download this app on there to see how it functions.

So the issue appears to be fixed. I'm not sure if it's something I did or if it just fixed itself but I have received texts from my Dad starting yesterday afternoon through the evening and again this morning. What I did yesterday was:

Deleted Textra and Android Messages.
Deleted all my text messages.
Deleted Cache and Data from the LG Messaging app.
Installed Android Messages only and made it default.
Texted a bunch of people and received texts back from all but one who is out of the country.
Around 3:30 received a couple texts from my Dad and it continued to work through this morning.

So i'm not sure if I actually did anything to fix the issue or not but i'm glad it's working and I can stop going crazy over it. Thank you everyone who read this and offered suggestions.
