Are you able to download other messaging apps to use or do you have to strictly just use d stock messaging app that comes with the note 9?

As far as I know, stock message app will work best for notifications, threads, etc. If you use something which doesn't also have a dedicated Galaxy Watch app, you will get notifications but your experience will be limited.

However, Pulse SMS does have a dedicated Galaxy Watch app and apparently is good, but I haven't tested it as I'm happy with stock.

Ok thanks good to know. Also do you know anything about standalone? For some reason it goes into standalone sometimes and it doesn't link to my phone I have to use the watch number?

On my Bluetooth model Galaxy Watch, Standalone occurs when the watch has become disconnected from my phone's BT for some reason, and when it also cannot connect to a WiFi network.

However, I can see you have the LTE model so I can't help you with the phone number issue I'm afraid. I'm sure one of the LTE owners on here will be able to shed some light on it.

Thanks you have been very helpful.... If your saying that it disconnects and can't find a WiFi network, I'm assuming it's doing the same thing.... Looking for an LTE network and eventually connects.

Lol I'm not sure our friend who made the team name was a big 80's fan so it's definitely possible
