Text/MMS message is coming in as a Vcard?

I am having an issue with my S7 that I did not seem to have with my Note 5. I frequently get texts from work emails to my cell phone (as text msgs) which come from an email address. Normally this email comes in as an MMS and has more than 40 recipients, but has always come through fine
(I can still read most of the text).

Lately these msgs are coming in as a Vcard file and when I go to open it, it gives me the error "unable to read vCard data". I have tried to save that file to my phone and open it, but I am still getting that error and can't view it.

Is anyone else having this issue? I have tried downloading a Vcard reader app and it still won't let me view or open it. It seems to only do this when there is more than 1 recipient.

Here are the screenshots. Someone please help! :( :'(

Do you have any idea who might be sending that? Is it possible that someone in the group message is trying to send business card info via texting? Can you ask the sender if they tried to send that?

It is coming from a co-workers work email and it is only being sent to other co-workers cell phones(example, vtext.com, tmomail.net, att.net). It doesn't happen if it is only sent to me, but when it is in a group (at least 40 of us), that is when the MMS is coming in as a Vcard.

The way these messages are being sent hasn't changed. I just can't read them on the S7. I didn't have this issue with my Note 5 :(

Ok, but what is that person sending? Are they just sending a normal text message/email, or are they actually sending contact information via text message?

One thing to consider is that if they're using an email account to send a message to SMS apps, then I wonder if their email has some standard signature that includes their contact information--which might be interpreted as a Vcard by the phone's SMS app.

They are just sending text info. No, it isn't the signature info either. I can send myself an email with my work account and I get everything, including the signature stuff. This issue is when the msg gets sent to multiple recipients.
