Text Name Mixup

I'm sure this is an easy one but I'm new to the texting/messaging game. The person that I text with the most (my Dad) is also listed as my ICE contact...same phone number. For unknown reason, the message screen display will change from "Dad" to "ICE". I can't figure out how to get it back to show the messages came from "Dad". What's a noob to do??

I never knew how to set up ICE contacts on my Vivid. Ever. How does one do this?

I just included another person in my list of people and named the contact as ICE. My understanding is that emergency personnel will look there first for this entry. As I said, in my case, the ICE entry is the exact same phone number as another entry in my list. I suspect that might be the same for most people, unless you were to enter your Doctor or someone who is not generally in your list of contacts.

I am still not grasping this...like...just name "Dad" to "ICE"?

I have two entries in my phone book or directory. One is "Dad" with all the usual stuff...phone number, text number, email address, etc. Then, in a completely separate entry, I have the name as "ICE" and have my Dad's phone number...that's the completely entry for ICE. I never need to actually go to my Dad's entry to dial him...he's speed dial #2...just hold down the 2 button and it dials him. But emergency people would look through my directory for ICE and dial that number...it would go to my Dad.

This seems to be the crux of my issue in that my text messages sometimes will come from "Dad" and sometimes they show up as from "ICE". It changes back and forth for no apparent reason.

Maybe because it's the same number, that's why.

Certainly that is a reason that ICE might show up, but what I don't understand is why it switches apparently on its own and more importantly, if it switches, what I can do to switch it back. It's annoying to look at my text message string and see "ICE" listed for the other side of the conversation.

Well, it's a 90's movie from the show Good Burger , one student, Baxter Reed, was just a lazy high school student looking forward to relaxing all summer long. On his way home from school, a fast food roller blader cuts him off and sends him swerving into another vehicle. Who's vehicle was it? His teacher's vehicle. Now, instead of relaxing all summer, Baxter must work to pay for the damages.

There's a lot more, but I don't want to ruin the whole movie for ya. It's filled with lots of humor and a good movie for some light to heavy laughter. I loved it!
