text notification duplicates?

I am having an intermittent issue with my charge. I'll receive a text message and I'll go to check it out and it will show 2x notifications icon. When I go into the text message I will have 2 copies of the text listed. Just like the person sent it 2x. I have duplicated this sending a message to my self and making sure only 0ne has been sent.

Any info would be appreciated.

I had this problem yesterday where my mom was receiving two of every text I sent. The text would pend for longer than usual and then send. I don't think I'm having that problem now.

Thunderbolt is having the same problem. Its not just the Charge.

Was this resolved? This is happening to me. I use go sms pro, I went to uninstall it to test and see if the duplicate text would pop up with the traditional sms and it did.

I receive duplicate texts from one friend who has an iphone. Could it be a problem on their end? I don't get duplicates from anyone else, even from other friends with iphones.

i think this is a verizon thing. it's very sporadic but it happens on my husbands charge and also on my d1. the only thing we have in common is verizon service. he used stock messaging and i use handcent.

I ended up removing Go sms pro once again and not using stock. So far so good.
