Text Notifications Pixel 2 XL

Ever since the new update on my Pixel 2 XL when I put my phone on vibrate it only vibrates for phone calls. The text notification does nothing so I miss the text. I want it to vibrate also. Any suggestions?

Are you using the stock Android Messages application? You have the correct notification settings enabled?

Unfortunately I don't see a setting in that app to force vibration on notification...

I have restarted the phone and still nothing. The only notification I get while on vibrate is phone calls. No other messages ie: text or Facebook.

I used to use it on my Nexus 6P and it was a decent app, although I see that it hasn't been updated for Pie.
