Text Notifications question

How do I make it so txt msgs dont show up in notifications?

Open the text messenger, settings, disable notifications.

Ok cool...thanks. Do you know of a way that I can still get the text with sound an just not have them pop up in the notifications box?

Not with the stock app. Gosms has more notification options.
