Text to Speech

Is there any way to get my phone to read out messages and emails without enabling full-on vision impaired accessibility Text to Speech mode which makes the phone nearly impossible to use? I wish I could long-press a message or email or Web page and choose to read out loud, or even better, tell Google assistant via voice command to read aloud my last email or txt message. Anyone have any solutions or advice?

If you have the Samsung Level u headphones, and install the Level u app on your phone you can set it to read detailed notifications from certain apps. Works perfectly for text messages but I have never tried it for emails - should work the same though.
